The Dance: 4

Hex waited patiently for Blake to come back with his mom. He made the guest room into his mom's room. He had no idea what his mom liked so he made the sheets black and different colored robes hanging on the back of the door. Hex sighed happy that the room looked livable for his mother. He went to the living room and sat on the couch to await Blake and the person who gave him life. He smiled as Rouge sat by him. "Hey princess, what are you doing up? I thought you were taking a nap before grandma got here."

Rouge nodded. "Yeah, but I couldn't fall asleep. So I came out here." He smiled as she laid her head on his belly. "Mommy I can hear the baby."

"Yeah?" She nodded. "What does it sound like?"

"Like water when it goes down the drain in the tub." He laughed. "Hi baby, I'm Rouge. I'm your sister; I'm 6 years older than you." Hex felt his eyes tear. "Mommy and daddy say that you are special like me. They say that we mean a lot to them and that they love us a lot."

"We do love you a lot Rouge, we always will love you and the baby." he put his hand on her head and hugged her. "You are my world Rouge. And so is the baby. You both make me smile, you make happy to be alive." Rouge smiled and hugged him. "Rouge how about we nap together to daddy comes back with grandma? You can sleep in bed with me." Rouge nodded. "Ok princess." He stood holding Rouge and went to his room. He set Rouge on the bed and laid down. She immediately snuggled up to him and they fell asleep together.

2 hours later Blake pulled the car into the driveway and helped Teddy get his meager possessions from the trunk. He held Teddy's one suitcase in his hand and led Teddy to the house. "Welcome home Teddy." He smiled and opened the door. He walked into the silent house behind Teddy. He expected Hex to be walking around or something. "Have a seat, I'll be right back." Teddy nodded and sat on the couch.

Blake went to his room and smiled when he saw Hex and Rouge asleep on the bed. He walked over to the bed and sat by them. He shook Hex gently. Hex opened his eyes, looked at him, and smiled. "Hey Hexxie, I'm back with your mom. He's in the living room."

Hex smiled. "Good, Rouge was too anxious to sleep so I brought her in here to nap with me and now look, we both conked out." He laughed. After a minute he shook Rouge. "Wake up baby girl, daddy is back with grandma." Hex smiled as Rouge woke. "Rouge daddy brought grandma home." Rouge immediately jumped off the bed and ran to the living room. Hex smiled as he watched her run out. "She is hilarious." He rubbed his belly. "The baby is still asleep love."

Blake smiled. "That is a good thing. From what I remember you complained that Rouge was always kicking you to death. If I remember right you said she was trying to kick her way out of you." Hex replied with a smile. "But she is just glad to have your mom living here. You always see how upset she was when we left the jail after the hour long visit. Now that won't happen anymore."

Hex nodded. "Yeah that is good. Let's go see mom ok?" Hex stood and leaned on Blake as he went to the living room. Hex smiled as he saw his mother and daughter sitting on the couch. "Hey mom." Teddy looked at him. "Welcome home mom." Teddy set Rouge on the couch and walked to him. Hex hugged him and smiled. "So, you're a part of the household now. I made a room for you."

Teddy smiled. "You shouldn't have done that Hex. I could've done it myself." Teddy smiled and touched Hex's belly. "I don't want you over working yourself while my grandbaby resides in you."

Hex smiled. "Mom, I'm ok. I did much worse when I was pregnant with Rouge. I was still in school and before I reached the 5th month I was always running in gym and playing sports. Then the doctor had to order me stop because I might hurt her." He laughed. "So trust me just making up a room for you is nothing. It's just a way to make you feel at home."

Teddy smiled and hugged him. "My sweet little boy." Teddy hugged him and sighed. "I love you Hex, no matter what, I love you."

Later that night as Rouge slept Blake, Hex, and Teddy sat in the living room together. "So Hex, do you want to know about when you were born?"

Hex nodded. "Yes please, I really would."

"Well the whole day before I kept feeling pain in my abdomen but I ignored it thinking it was the food they gave us. At night I laid down and went to sleep." Teddy woke late at night to only the lights from the halls on. He felt incredible pain in his hips and abdomen. He gasped as a pain made him fall to his knees on the floor. He groaned as he felt something move inside him. He removed his pants and found blood in the crotch and staining his legs. He sat on the floor with his legs spread. He felt something moving out of him.

He felt the urge to go to the bathroom. He stood and went to the toilet. He sat down and pushed hoping to end the pain. He felt relief as something popped out but he noticed it felt weird. He felt between his legs and felt hair, blood, and slime. He gasped and immediately got off the toilet he squatted above the floor. With the next pain he pushed hard and felt his anus burn. He felt the thing leave him and he supported it as it fell to the floor. He looked at what had left his body and was in shock. "Guard! Help!"

A guard walked to his door. "What is it Harper?"

"I need help. I just had a baby." He sat on the floor with the baby between his legs.

"Funny Harper but you're not pregnant." The guard started to walk away and at that exact moment the baby let out a high pitched wail. The guard turned back. "What was that Harper?"

"My baby, please I need help." He pulled off his shirt and laid it under the baby so that the cold floor wouldn't hurt it. The guard opened the door, turned on his flashlight, and looked into the room. Teddy put a hand over the baby's eyes. "Please, I don't know what to do."

The guard walked in and went to Teddy. He kneeled by Teddy and spoke into the radio on his shoulder. A few minutes later the doctor from the infirmary came into Teddy's cell. He cut the cord connecting Teddy and his baby. He looked at Teddy. "Listen, to help him you need to feed him." Teddy looked confused. The doctor sighed, lifted the baby to Teddy's chest, and got it to latch on. Teddy gasped at the feeling. "Hold the baby so I can clean you up while he feeds."

Teddy nodded still in shock. "Oh my god, how could I not know he was in me?" The doctor wasn't listening. Teddy gasped as the doctor put a hand up his anus to inspect for tears or anything life threatening to him. Teddy looked at the baby feeding from his chest. "Hi. I'm sorry I didn't know about you. I really am, if I had known things would be different."

The doctor looked at Teddy. "I am going to leave him with you for half an hour. After that I will come get him and you will never see him again." Teddy nodded and held the baby close as the doctor helped him onto his cot. He sat with a groan and the baby whimpered at being shifted.

"Hush honey, you're ok. I'm here, momma's here." Teddy touched the baby's cheek and smiled. He didn't even notice the doctor or guard leave. "Hi cutie, I never even knew about you. I'm sorry you were fed this cruddy food they give me. Sadly I won't see you anymore after tonight. They're gonna take you away from me." He ran his free hand through his hair. "My poor baby, I am really sorry. Well this may not stick but I want to name you Salem after my mom. Salem Anthony Harper." He sighed as weakness set in and he felt amazingly tired. He spent the whole half hour talking to the baby. The doctor came in and he cried. "Please you can't take him from me. I will do anything, but please let him stay. I just learned about him. Please."

The doctor walked over. "I'm sorry Teddy but the baby will be put into the adoption agency. You can't raise him while you're in jail. Truly I am sorry. Just say your goodbye's and let me take him." Teddy nodded and kissed his son for what he thought was the last time. He watched as the doctor took his son away. Once his cell was empty again he fell to the floor and cried.

Hex looked at his mother in shock. "You named me Salem?" Teddy nodded. "Oh my god, I had a real name for a little while." He touched his belly. "Mom if this baby is a boy I want to name it Salem Anthony." Blake smiled at him in reassurance. Teddy felt tears come to his eyes and Hex hugged him. "Love you mom."

Teddy smiled at him. "Love you too Hex, always." They embraced and at that moment Rouge decided to jump on Teddy's back. Teddy groaned then laughed. "Hey Rouge, what are you doing?" He grabbed her and pulled her into his lap to tickle her. Rouge giggled and tickled him back. Teddy set her on his lap and hugged her. "So Rouge, are you happy about being a sister."

She smiled. "Yeah, mommy says the baby is still not coming for a few months." Teddy nodded. "Daddy says that the baby is gonna cry a lot when it gets here too."

"Yeah, that is what babies do Rouge. You did it, I did it, your daddy did it, and your daddy did it." Teddy said with a smile as he hugged his family close. "Blake get over here and hug your family!" Blake smiled and walked over. He sat on Teddy's right side and joined in the family hug."
